LOVELY (Amazon, Go Booklets) is an odd but timely book about giving and receiving critiques. It calls upon my first exposure to criticism as an art student, then pulls from my time as a professional writer and advertising creative. This book is unrelenting in its promotion of honesty. Samples here are taken from sections I and II of IV.
“Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfills the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things.”
— Winston Churchill
